Their Why
A host wanted a week on the road with a close circle of friends: active days, long lunches, and a side of Italy most visitors never reach.
Our How
We built each day around the ride, then around everything after it. Every route had a short and a long option, so the group could ride at its own pace and still arrive at the same table. Three homes along the way: a seventeenth-century farmhouse and two castles taken exclusively for the group.
Olive Groves and White Towns
Quiet roads past thousand-year-old olive trees to lunch at a country masseria, then on to Ostuni, the white city, and the trulli of the Itria Valley.
A Castle to Ourselves
A glass of something sparkling on the turret at sunset. A rest day with a still-life drawing class led by the castle’s owner, and an evening walk through Baroque Lecce.
The Coast Road
From Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy, down one of the most beautiful stretches of road in the country. A simple seaside lunch, and a saltwater swim for dessert.
Where Two Seas Meet
The last ride finished at Santa Maria di Leuca, where the Adriatic meets the Ionian. The last dinner was one the group cooked together, in a castle kitchen.
The Outcome
The Why was time together, earned on the road. Fourteen friends rode from the Adriatic to the tip of the heel, each at their own pace, and ended the week cooking dinner side by side.
The best table is the one you rode to.
